Hello! My name is Fred and I'm a student in Emeryville with a pick up truck for hire. For the past 3 years I have been running this small hauling/delivery business to help pay bills while in school.
Here is some info on myself and what I do:
-I'm just 1 guy and a mid-size pick up; meaning I am great, affordable, and efficient for single, large item pick ups and hauling. If an item is too large for 1 person to take (sofa for example) I may need an extra hand at either end loading/unloading. This additional person can either be you or I can provide additional laborers for $25/hr.Please take a look at my photos to determine if I'm the right guy for you. -I supply all necessary tie downs, flat dolly, blankets, and limited tools. My truck bed does have a liner that is gentle on furniture and I always keep it clean. -My rate is $50/hr with a 1 hr minimum, this applies to Berkeley/Emeryville/Most of Oakland. I can provide an additional laborers for $25/hr each. -I will work outside of this area for a negotiated rate to compensate for additional gas/drive time. For example: San Francisco jobs I charge my usual rate of $50/hr plus $20 flat to compensate for the toll and additional gas. -Cancellations: I understand things come up and you may need to cancel. However I am VERY busy between working 2 jobs and school so I ask for 24 hours notice. If you must cancel within 24 hours of the job start time a $20 cancellation fee will be charged. -Craigslist purchases: I do a lot of craigslist pickups and I understand that sometimes the item isn't what you expected and you may not want it. In this situation I will not charge for the hour, just the $20 cancellation fee + any gas/toll charges if I have already arrived. -Check out the clients section where you'll find my yelp* for references/reviews!
Bottom line- This is the most affordable and efficient option if you just need a pick up truck and a guy for an hour.

Rate Details: The clock starts when I arrive at the pick up location and ends when the job is complete at the drop off location. No hidden gas/stair costs, just a guy and a pick up for $50/hr within North Oakland/Emeryville/Berkeley Rates can be worked out for jobs outside of this area. Cash is preferred but please note that I do not carry change.I can also accept credit cards. Thanks for looking!
